Carma Pekkala Obituary, Two Teens Leaves Dead, Several Injured After Car Rolls Down Ravine Near Kenn

Carma Pekkala Obituary, Death – Two teens were pronounced dead at the scene of an automobile accident that took place on Friday night just south of Kennewick, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. A third youngster sustained injuries that are considered to be life-threatening as a consequence of the collision.

A collision was reported to have occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. in the area surrounding 73016 E. Homestead Road, which can be reached through East Country Heights Drive. According to Dennis Morris, who is the chief deputy coroner for Benton County, Mally Bruckelmyer, who was 16 years old, did not survive long enough to be taken to a hospital and ultimately passed tragically. Carma Pekkala, who was 15 years old at the time of her death, is said to have gone away at the Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office reported that there were six people inside the vehicle, and all of the occupants were young women between the ages of 15 and 17. The person who made the initial call to 911 reported that the vehicle had rolled over many times and was currently located in a ravine. It was reported that there were three people suffering from severe injuries and one person suffering from critical injuries as the first emergency services arrived at the scene. There was one passenger who was trapped inside the vehicle and could not free himself.

The statement that “speed and unfamiliarity with the location” may have been factors that contributed to the driver losing control of the vehicle was made by the sheriff’s office on Saturday afternoon. The statement was made in reference to the incident that occurred earlier in the day.
