Tatum Goodwin Murder – The identity of the deceased person whose corpse was discovered close to the 200 block of Ocean Avenue in Laguna Beach has not been made public as of Monday evening, November 13. Tatum Goodwin, the restaurant’s assistant manager, has been identified as the victim of a homicide in a GoFundMe campaign that was created by Carmelita’s restaurant.
A vigil by candlelight will be held for Goodwin on Wednesday, November 15, at 7 p.m. at the end of the San Clemente Pier. The event is being organized by her friends. A construction worker discovered a dead body in a “secluded location near the 200 block of Ocean Avenue” on the morning of Sunday, November 12 at approximately 8:20 a.m., according to the authorities.
The Laguna Beach Police Department has opened a homicide investigation into the death of a woman, possibly in her mid- to late-20s, after the body was discovered. The Laguna Beach detectives said in a statement that was released late on Sunday night that they considered “the scene to be suspicious” and that they are treating the incident, which took place close to Coast Highway, as a possible homicide investigation.
The Orange County Coroner’s Division will determine who the woman was and what caused her death once they have finished their investigation.
